Best Hotels in Paris

We asked Instagrammer and expert traveler Pierre Schuester (@pierreschuester) to offer us some Parisian local knowledge and top tips about staying in his home city of Paris. Here, he lets us in on some of his favourite places to stay, plus some amazing places for an after dinner drink or two.

The Hotel Costes

Located on the ultra trendy Rue du Faubourg St Honore. It had a great terrace where you can have dinner, a bit for lunch or a couple of drinks. Rooms from €500 per night.

What we love about it: What’s not to love!? This renowned hotel is the coolest spot in town. We particularly love their  ‘Agenda Parisien’ an online guide to everything Paris – where to go, what to eat, and the best place for a late night dance.

Hotel Raphael

raphael

Close to Arc de Triomphe, is another favourite. It is quite old fashioned but offers one of the best rooftops in Paris with unparalleled views of the city, the Eiffel tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Rooms from €310 per night.

What we love about it: It’s traditional Parisian decor. Think sumptuous brocade furnishings, dark wood panelling, and pieces of Louis XV style furniture. It is also not uncommon to see A-listers gracing the halls of Hotel Raphael.

The Peninsula

Right next to the Hotel Raphael, you will find the Peninsula. This hotel offers amazing rooms, has a very nice Spa and a gorgeous restaurant bar on the roof top called L’oiseau Blanc (This place is popular so expect to have to make a reservation). Their Sunday brunch is a MUST! Rooms from €795 per night.

What we love about it: The view! Whether from the rooftop balcony or the L’Oiseau Blanc restaurant, the views from this hotel are unrivalled! Located right in the centre of Paris, you can expect incredible views of the Eiffel Tower across the roofs of the city.

The Terass Hotel

Close to Montmartre is another with a nice rooftop for drinks. Not to mention the rooms themselves are beautifully contemporary and stylish! If you get lucky you can book the Terass’ Penthouse – it’s definitely worth it. Rooms from €200 per night.

What we love about it: The location and the heritage. Located at the heart of the cosmopolitan Montmartre district in Paris, The Terass Hotel has been a meeting place of many renowned french creatives throughout history.

Park Hyatt Vendôme

Another incredible hotel, minutes away from the famous Place Vendôme. The hotel has a lovely bar called the Cheminée which is perfect for drinks any time of the day and the restaurant, ‘LE PUR’ is tremendous! Visit the hotel’s outside terrace in winter time when it becomes a Mountain Cabin! Rooms from €640 per night.

What we love about it: The luxurious Le Spa Paris. Steam rooms, whirlpool baths and an Onyx water wall, this spa spares no luxuries. Not only will you be relaxed but you will be starring in wonderment at how beautifully sophisticated this hotel is.

OFF Paris Seine****

A very new and original Hotel is OFF Paris Seine. Having only opened in June this year, it is the the first floating hotel in Paris! It has a tiny swimming pool that will make your Parisian summer days unforgettable. Definitely worth a visit. Rooms from €161 per night.

What we love about it: The design! The first floating hotel in Paris, OFF Paris Seine is a contemporary and unique space. Rooms are modern and minimal but with vibrant pops of color and futuristic furnishings. Our favorite bit is the plunge pool right in the middle of the boat that makes you feel like you are swimming in the Seine!
