Bangkok has so many cool areas you easily loose track, however one of the coolest that I always make a beeline too is the area of Phrom Phong (Sukhumvit Sois 31-49). Dining
Peppina (27/1 Sukumvit Soi 31) You can read our full review, Peppina from the same owners as Appia around the corner from Peppina offers fabulous Italian food in a relaxed modern setting, I really loved the atmosphere and food here. Start with some bruschetta, share a couple of pizzas from their extensive menu and make sure you have some of their wine its amazing!

Thai Lao Yeh (Cabochon Hotel 14/29 Sukhumvit Soi 45) Is an absolute must, you won’t get better Thai food than here, it is reasonably priced for a venue that literally oozies cool. Make sure you start your evening off by having a cocktail in the library first like I did then order a few plates of food to share.

Smith (1/8 Sukhumvit Soi 49) The team that designed the restaurant have created a concept that incorporates nose-to-tail dining, sustainable practices all housed in a reclaimed 40-year-old warehouse. Whilst I don’t eat meat, I did love the menu idea, the aesthetics of the restaurant and their concept is quite unique to Bangkok, so worth a visit!

Quince (Sukhumvit Soi 45) Next to the Cabochon Hotel, Quince is a Mediterranean restaurant taking influences from Spain, Morocco, France and Italy, the food is good and the wine is 5 star, definitely worth making a dinner appointment for.

Coffee
Casa Lapin x49 (opposite Samitivej Hospital, Sukhumvit Soil 49) This super cool coffee shop would not be out of place in New York, choose from espresso, French Press and pair it up with some of their baked goods, I loved the little lane this café is located on too. 39 Espresso (665 Sukhumvit Soi 39) Near the BTS and so perfect for a quick pit stop coffee before you head off somewhere else, this tiny coffee shop is quirky and passionate about serving a great espresso based coffee.
Wonderwall Coffee (Avora 31 Residence, 28 Sukhumvit Soi) Across from Peppina, this little coffee shop does an amazing Americano or anything you want for that matter. It has an outside balcony, which I liked to sit and is perfect for watching the world go by.

Hotels
Cabochon Hotel (14/29 Sukhumvit Soi 45). What was once a mansion has been converted into a luxury hotel and when you enter you feel like you are stepping back into the 1920’s. I fell in love with this hotel the minute I saw it. It has a fabulous little bar and library offering delicious cocktails and a comprehensive gin and tonic list which seals the deal. The restaurant, Thai Lao Yeh, is open to non guests and is an absolute must; full of fabulous Thai dished served in blue and white Chinese china.
